The earthquake laboratory is constructed on a strong ground infrastructure designed to support experimental studies under heavy loads. A large portion of the laboratory floor consists of a strong floor system, providing safe and stable conditions for testing heavy experimental setups and structural components.
The laboratory is equipped with an overhead traveling crane that serves the entire laboratory area. The crane features two independent hooks with lifting capacities of 1.5 tons and 2 tons, enabling safe and efficient handling of test specimens and equipment.
In addition, the laboratory includes frame loading and vertical loading systems supported by a reaction wall. This infrastructure allows controlled loading tests on structural elements and systems, enabling realistic investigation of their behavior under seismic and other external loads.
