APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
The required qualifications for prospective international students, the list of programs available for international student admissions, other conditions, required documents, and the announcement process are provided below.
Applicants who are in their final year of high school or graduates must meet the following criteria:
Foreign nationals,
Those who were born as Turkish citizens but obtained permission to renounce Turkish citizenship from the Ministry of Interior Affairs, and those who have a document indicating that they utilize Recognized Rights according to the Turkish Citizenship Law, (It should be noted that Article 7(1) of Law No. 5901 states, "A child born within or outside Turkey to a Turkish citizen mother or father who are married is a Turkish citizen." Therefore, applicants applying from abroad for admission quotas are advised to review the Turkish Citizenship Law.),
Those who have acquired Turkish citizenship through naturalization after being foreign nationals or those with dual citizenship, a) Turkish citizens who attended secondary education abroad and completed the last three years of their secondary education in a foreign country except for the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) (including those who completed their entire secondary education in Turkish schools opened by the Ministry of National Education (MEB) abroad), b) Applicants who started secondary education abroad after 01/02/2013 and completed their entire secondary education in a foreign country except for the TRNC (including those who completed their entire secondary education in Turkish schools opened by the Ministry of National Education (MEB) abroad),
Those who are citizens of the TRNC, residing in the TRNC, and have completed their secondary education in the TRNC or hold GCE AL (The General Certificate of Education-Advanced Level) exam results obtained from other countries' schools or colleges between 2005-2010,
are eligible to apply. Applicants must fulfill the following criteria:
Turkish citizens who completed their secondary education (high school) entirely in Turkey or the TRNC, Those who are citizens of the TRNC (except for those who completed their entire secondary education in TRNC high schools and have GCE AL results, and those who attended schools or colleges in other countries between 2005-2010 and obtained GCE AL exam results), Dual citizens who are defined in item 2 of clause (a) (except for those who meet the conditions specified in item 4 of clause (a)), Dual citizens with one nationality being TRNC (except for those who completed their entire secondary education in TRNC high schools and have GCE AL results, and those who attended schools or colleges in other countries between 2005-2010 and obtained GCE AL exam results), Turkish citizens or dual citizens whose first nationality is Turkish as defined in item 2 of clause (a) who are studying at schools within the Turkish embassies or foreign schools in Turkey,
are not eligible to apply.
