Iskenderun Technical University (ISTE) Faculty of Tourism started its education life as the School of Tourism Management and Hotel Management under the roof of Mustafa Kemal University. Although the School was opened in 1992, it started education in Iskenderun in the 2001-2002 academic year, taking its first students from the Department of Tourism and Hotel Management. After the establishment of ISTE in İskenderun with the law numbered 6640 issued by the Grand National Assembly of Turkey on 31.03.2015, the School of Tourism Management and Hotel Management was separated from Mustafa Kemal University and included in ISTE. Four years later, ISTE School of Tourism Management and Hotel Management was closed according to the decree numbered 968 published in the Official Gazette dated 18 April 2019 and numbered 30749, and ISTE Faculty of Tourism was established with the same decree.

Aims and Objectives:
To train qualified tourism managers who can adapt to the changing world by expanding the boundaries of knowledge in the field of tourism, science, technology and art, who can adapt to the changing world, who know the structure and functioning of the sector well, who can bring new expansions to the sector and businesses, who are experts in their field, who speak at least one foreign language well, as well as a second foreign language at an intermediate level, who can manage the future, who have a strong social aspect and self-confidence, who are culturally equipped, who comply with ethical principles, and to make scientific contributions to the tourism literature academically and to produce projects that guide the sector.
