Architecture, which is a building and space design activity that organizes living spaces from shelter to urban design, is an art that depends on the needs of the society, structure, economic data and technological developments.A work of architecture includes the contributions of different disciplines, sciences and specialties; It is directly related to science, art, technique and human life.
In addition to producing qualified buildings, architecture offers the necessary opportunities for the creation of qualified living environments.It is also a tool for creating local, regional, national and unique identities.

HISTORY
İskenderun Technical University was established with the decision published in the Official Gazette dated 23 April 2015 and numbered 29335. The Department of Architecture within the Faculty of Architecture continues its educational activities, which started in the 2019-2020 academic year. In addition to 1 professor, 2 associate professors, 3 assistant professors, 1 lecturer and 3 research assistants within the department, faculty members assigned to lecture and private sector representatives contribute to the conduct of the courses.
AWARDED DEGREE
As a result of the successful completion of the architecture undergraduate program, students are awarded an undergraduate degree in architecture.
ACCEPTANCE CONDITIONS
Candidates with a high school diploma are accepted according to the placement result document issued by the Assessment and Placement Center (ÖSYM). The candidate who gains the right to be a student makes the final registration with the documents determined within the period announced by the university. The candidate who does not register in the specified period loses his / her registration right.
GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
In order to graduate from the Architecture undergraduate program, students; they are required to successfully complete all courses, applications, internships and similar studies in the curriculum, with a total of 240 ECTS, with a weighted grade point average of at least (2.25 / 4.00).
EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES
There are employment opportunities in both public and private sectors for architects who have completed the Architecture Undergraduate Program. By opening architectural offices on his behalf in the private sector, he can make designs and applications at different scales from singular building to urban design. In addition, he can work as an architect in architectural offices, construction companies, real estate appraisal companies, banks, private universities and similar organizations. In the public sector, there are job opportunities for architects in many institutions and organizations, especially the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Development Agencies, Universities, Governorships and Municipalities.
MEASUREMENT AND EVALUATION
The courses taught in the Architecture Undergraduate Program may differ according to the content and learning outcomes. Written midterm and final exams are necessarily made for each course in each semester. In addition, according to the scope of the course, projects, posters, application assignments, fieldwork, presentations etc. prepared by the students can be evaluated. Assessment, exams and grading are carried out within the scope of Iskenderun Technical University Associate and Undergraduate Education and Examination Regulations.
