Iskenderun Technical University Quality Commission was established in line with the Higher Education Quality Assurance Regulation.
The Commission fulfills the following duties and responsibilities:
- To organize and direct the University Quality Assurance System,
- To establish the University's internal and external quality assurance system and to determine its institutional indicators, by evaluating and improving the quality of education and research activities, administrative services, in line with the strategic plan of the University and the principles determined by YÖKAK,
- To determine the priority of the studies determined by the working groups and the Coordination Office within the scope of quality assurance and to submit these studies for Senate approval,
- To direct the internal evaluation studies, to check the annual institutional evaluation report containing the results of the institutional evaluation and quality improvement studies prepared by the Coordination Office and to submit it to the Senate,
- To make the necessary preparations together with the Coordinator during the external evaluation process, to provide all kinds of support to YÖKAK and external evaluation institutions,
- To take the necessary precautions regarding the areas that need improvement and that will emerge according to the results of internal and external evaluation reports, and to control the planning and studies,
- To examine documents such as forms, rulers and tables developed by the coordination office and working groups and to submit them to the Senate for use throughout the University,
- To prepare the quality action plan and submit it to the Senate,
- The Commission works in partnership with the Coordination Office at the end of each year until the beginning of the next calendar year to create the work calendar and improvement plans.

Working groups perform the following duties and responsibilities:
- Working groups follow the University activities and practices within their fields, participate in internal and external evaluation studies, make plans to improve the relevant work and transactions within their fields and make recommendations to the Commission.
- Working groups create forms, tables, tables, etc. to ensure standards at the University level regarding the subjects within their fields. develops documents and submits them to the Commission for approval.
- Working groups meet at least quarterly throughout the year. At the end of the year, it regularly submits the annual internal evaluation report regarding its fields of work to the Commission for approval.
Iskenderun Technical University Quality Coordination Office is responsible for planning and executing studies regarding education, research activities, accreditation processes of programs and internal and external quality assurance of administrative services at our university and the duties, powers and responsibilities defined within this scope, and supporting the duties of the Quality Commission and coordination between units. It was established to provide.
The coordinator performs the following duties and responsibilities:
- The Coordination Office is responsible for the execution of the University Quality Assurance System and monitoring the work towards the goals related to Quality Assurance.
- The Coordination Office monitors the current processes carried out at the University, collects and evaluates data regarding these processes and submits improvement suggestions to the Commission. It is responsible for periodically monitoring and reporting the measurable targets and performance indicators determined by the University, in cooperation with all academic and administrative units, especially the Strategy Development Department.
- It makes recommendations to the Commission in areas where improvement is needed.
- Creates, organizes, revises and maintains quality-related documentation (manuals, forms, schedules, etc.).
- It collects data regarding the University Quality Assurance System, directs the establishment of the documentation infrastructure for this data and ensures the management of the data collection system.
- It checks the suitability of the documents coming from the units and makes suggestions for corrections when necessary.
- It carries out activities with external stakeholders through the General Secretariat on issues related to the Quality Assurance System.
- Recommends and plans internal stakeholder and external stakeholder meetings to the Rectorate. Organizes the external stakeholder meeting, which should be held at least once a year.
- It prepares internal stakeholder and external stakeholder surveys, submits them to the Commission, implements the approved surveys, and reports the survey evaluation results to the Commission.
- In addition to the training suggestions coming from the Commission and units, it recommends to the Commission and organizes the trainings deemed necessary to ensure the University's compliance with nationally and internationally accepted quality standards.
- Working in partnership with the Commission, it creates and implements annual quality action plans, training schedules and other plans or schedules for the Quality Assurance System.
- Initiates, directs and coordinates the preparation of annual internal evaluation reports. It prepares the Institutional Internal Evaluation Report in line with the reports coming from the units and submits it to YÖKAK after the approval of the Commission.
- Provides the requested data and documents during external evaluation processes.
- Coordinates meetings with Unit Quality Commissions.
- The secretariat provides support to the commissions and working groups in their work.
