The School of Tourism and Hotel Management was established in 1992 and started education in Iskenderun by taking the first students of the Department of Tourism and Hotel Management in 2001-2002. Since April 23, 2015, it has been restructured under the roof of Iskenderun Technical University. According to the decision number 968 published in the Official Gazette dated 18 April 2019 and numbered 30749, the School of Tourism and Hotel Management was closed and the Faculty of Tourism was established with the same decree. The department is currently under the name of "Tourism Management" within the Faculty of Tourism. The language of the program is Turkish, and the head of the department is Assoc. Prof. Hasan CINNIOĞLU.

Tourism Management Department Mission: To train qualified personnel who will contribute to the development of sustainable tourism by increasing the competitiveness of the region and the country in the tourism sector and to conduct research.
Tourism Management Department Vision: The Department of Tourism Management aims to be a brand institution that directs the tourism industry in the national and international arena, and to ensure that tourism is brought to the forefront in increasing the general welfare and development of the society.
Why Tourism Management Department?
Turkey's tourism income was 34.5 billion dollars in 2019, the number of tourists coming to our country is about 51.7 million people. Turkey ranks 6th in world tourism in terms of the number of international tourists. There are over 10 thousand accommodation facilities, close to 10 thousand restaurants and nearly 9 thousand travel agencies in our country. Since tourism is a growing sector that is developing and invested in our country, a significant number of qualified personnel is needed in this regard.
