Mustafa Yazıcı State Conservatory was established on 16 December 2005 under the auspices of Mustafa Kemal University and was affiliated with Iskenderun Technical University pursuant to Article 2, paragraph (ç) of Law No. 6640 dated 31 March 2015. The State Conservatory conducts its educational and training activities at a designated address outside the main campus of the University. The Conservatory Campus covers an area of 10,000 square meters and consists of an administrative building and an academic building that includes a 575-seat concert hall, classrooms, and a digital library. The State Conservatory comprises two departments—Music and Turkish Folk Music—of which only the Music Department is currently active and admits students. In addition, various major fields of study are offered under the relevant departments.
As of the 2025–2026 academic year, the academic staff of the Mustafa Yazıcı State Conservatory includes 1 Professor, 2 Associate Professors, 1 Assistant Professor (PhD), 1 Lecturer with a PhD, 2 Lecturers, 3 foreign national Lecturers, and 3 Visiting Lecturers.
