The mission of the Iskenderun Technical University MYDK State Conservatory is to generate knowledge in the field of music and to transform this knowledge into artistic production through contemporary educational approaches and music technologies; to contribute to regional cultural life through qualified, practice-oriented music education, scientific research, and artistic activities; and to serve the cultural, artistic, and social development of the country—particularly Hatay and the Eastern Mediterranean Region—by educating ethical, creative, innovative, and entrepreneurial musicians.
The vision of the Iskenderun Technical University MYDK State Conservatory is to become a pioneering music education institution that is nationally and internationally recognized for its education, research, and artistic production; effectively integrates music technologies; brings regional cultural heritage together with a universal artistic perspective; shapes artistic life through its graduates; and is fully integrated with society.
Conservatory Policies
1. Education and Training Policy
The State Conservatory conducts its educational activities within the framework of a practice-oriented arts education approach, aiming to develop students’ artistic, technical, and theoretical competencies. Educational programs are implemented in accordance with relevant legislation and contemporary artistic approaches, and efforts to further improve these programs are ongoing.
2. Artistic Production and Research Policy
The Conservatory supports artistic production and discipline-specific research activities. Academic staff are encouraged to participate in artistic and research activities, which are expected to be conducted in alignment with the unit’s aims and objectives.
3. Quality Assurance Policy
The Conservatory adopts a quality assurance approach in carrying out its educational, artistic, and administrative activities. Within this scope, an internal quality assurance system has been defined, and efforts are ongoing to further develop related processes.

The Conservatory is guided by a participatory governance approach. Decision-making processes are carried out through relevant boards and commissions, and duties, authorities, and responsibilities are fulfilled in accordance with applicable legislation.
