BASIC SCIENCES
Basic sciences are the basic building blocks of the engineering field. A strong engineering education is only possible with a solid basic science education. Basic sciences have a dynamic structure and are greatly affected by changes, especially in the field of engineering. Developments in the field of engineering lead to the emergence of new research topics in the field of basic sciences, and advances in these subjects contribute to the field of engineering and engineering education.
LESSONS
In addition to the basic mathematics, physics, and chemistry courses given to engineering undergraduate students, undergraduate and graduate students are given various courses related to their fields of expertise by faculty members of our department. In addition, the faculty members of the Department of Basic Engineering Sciences provide significant support for the basic mathematics, physics and chemistry courses in the programs of other units of the university. The Department of Basic Engineering Sciences is a department that can serve as a bridge, especially in the development of interdisciplinary projects, the creation of postgraduate education programs and the realization of joint scientific studies. In addition, engineering graduate students who are in the process of completing their master's thesis or doctoral thesis can easily and quickly receive support from faculty members of the Department of Basic Sciences of Engineering for their needs in the field of basic sciences during their studies.
The fact that both the course content and the course process differ from the teaching carried out within classical science faculties, and especially the giving of examples from engineering applications during the courses, shows the importance of basic courses for the students' fields and contributes to the development of their perspectives. Our department understanding that sees it as a duty to support our students who choose "entrepreneurship", "being employed in the private/public sector" and "becoming a scientist" by constantly updating the contents of the courses conducted to include modern/up-to-date technologies and approaches, as stated in the TECHNOVERSITE vision of our university.
Raising engineers who can analyze and have solid basic science equipment is extremely important for the vision of our university in particular and for our country in general. The Department of Basic Engineering Sciences acts with the mission of ensuring that engineering students studying in undergraduate and graduate engineering programs have a strong infrastructure in the field of basic sciences and actively participating in the research activities of the University, and these studies and courses are supported with effective physics and chemistry laboratories.
SCIENTIFIC STUDIES
In addition to international and national scientific studies, scientific studies are carried out with international and national projects. In addition, many international and national studies are carried out and postgraduate theses are published through various projects (BAP, TÜBİTAK, etc.) and the use of laboratories with students who are advised by our department's faculty members within various postgraduate programs.
