The mission of the Department of Fisheries Engineering, aligned with the technology-oriented vision and robust laboratory infrastructure of Iskenderun Technical University, is to conduct advanced scientific research on national and global scales within the framework of water resource conservation, sustainable food supply, and the blue economy.
Our purpose is to cultivate expert researchers, higher engineers, and leading scientists who act with an awareness of environmental ethics, sustainability principles, and social responsibility, and who are capable of generating innovative and R&D-focused solutions to industrial challenges across all processes—from the aquaculture of aquatic organisms to harvesting and processing technologies.
