ISTE Economics is one of the young and dynamic departments of Iskenderun Technical University, which started accepting students in the 2018-2019 academic year. It has a strong academic staff of professors (2), associated professors (1), assistant professors (3), and research assistants (3). In this day and time, while technology develops rapidly and changes everything, we are aware that the economics undergraduate program curriculum must be kept up-to-date and that the economic problems faced by the business world and society must be solved with an analytical approach from wide and different angles.
We aim to train economists who can deal with complex problems, analyze the economic problems of the society and the business world with both technical and social dimensions, in line with the vision (Technoversity) of our university (İSTE). In line with this purpose, we have created a dynamic education curriculum that is open to innovation and change in line with today's needs by keeping in constant communication with our internal and external stakeholders. We offer an interdisciplinary undergraduate program where competent economists will be trained not only to offer theoretical solutions to economic problems but also to implement solutions to problems. We invite those who want to touch people and serve humanity by producing effective solutions to all economic problems, from local to universal, to join us.
