İskenderun Technical University Distance Education Application and Research Center (İSTE-UZEM) was established with the decision of 27/08/2020 published in the Official Gazette no.31221.
Mission: In order to meet the increasing needs in our country and in the world, to provide training with an academic perspective on innovations in education, life, science, technology, art, and industry, to make plans to support advanced technology and continuous education models, to integrate the university and the business world according to the needs. is to plan the education infrastructure that will provide it, and if necessary, to accredit the courses in associate, undergraduate, and graduate programs of Iskenderun Technical University with the distance education system.

Educational Support System: In accordance with the Strategic Plan of Iskenderun Technical University, in 2016, in accordance with the scope of the Restructuring of Education-Training Programs, our University started to offer common courses within the scope of Distance Computer Education Coordinator. Starting from March 2020, the beginning of the pandemic process, our University has carried out studies for the simultaneous realization of all its courses. During the pandemic period, it became the 4th university that managed the distance education process best among state universities. In the 2020-2021 Fall semester, it uses services that integrate new servers and distance education systems into its infrastructure, plans coordinated studies with information processing, and work integrated with the Student Information System. From this point of view, it is managed with a systematic approach and plans to ensure its continuity.
Aims and Goals
A1. To carry out studies on research, development, and organizations related to distance education for all academic and administrative units within the university.
G1.1. To support our university with distance education-based infrastructure in case of need in associate, undergraduate and graduate programs
G1.2. Supporting the courses within the scope of our university education programs with information and communication technologies by adapting them to the hybrid approach
G1.3. To create supportive educational materials that can be used by our university lecturers within the scope of the programs
G1.4. To conduct scientific research on distance education and training technologies
G1.5. Planning at least 5 training programs in order to contribute to the training needed within the scope of continuing education.
G1.6. To make plans within the framework of possibilities in order to make distance education as accessible as possible for our students with disabilities in our university programs.
A2. To support the development of distance education applications and to give the courses offered within the university with distance education methods, and to make strategic planning related to distance education within this framework.
G2.1. To create a strategic plan for 5-year processes within the framework of the Iskenderun Technical University Strategic Plan for our center.
G2.2. Planning for the use of the existing distance education infrastructure in the distance education of non-thesis master's programs in the fields to be determined by the institutes
G2.3. To conduct research and to examine the existing infrastructures so that the applied courses in our university's programs can be carried out by distance education.
G2.4. To ensure the research and development of different integrations and to take the necessary measures to ensure the reliability of the exams held within the scope of distance education.
A3. To ensure the development of all kinds of scientific studies, to evaluate and analyze the distance education needs of institutions and organizations in the public and private sector, to propose, develop and implement programs.
G3.1. Conducting needs analysis every 3 years by cooperating with different public and private institutions and organizations at least 3 years
G3.2. Planning at least 5 distance education programs and courses and arranging the technical infrastructure by the faculty members of our University in the areas determined according to the results of the needs analysis
A4. To transfer the knowledge of the center's field of activity to the relevant institutions and organizations, to determine the administrative, financial and technical application principles in this regard, to develop projects, to organize scientific meetings, to make periodic and/or non-periodical publications on the subject.
G4.1. To support international and national scientific organizations held in partnership with our university
