Educational Objectives of the Electrical Program
- Ability to use electronic devices and make basic measurements while complying with the necessary occupational safety in the work environment,
- To have basic theoretical and practical knowledge and to be able to design, solve and troubleshoot basic electrical circuits,
- To be able to interpret and evaluate data, recognize and analyze problems, and offer evidence-based solution suggestions by using the basic knowledge and skills acquired in the field.
- Designing computer-aided electrical and electronic circuits and making technical drawings by using relevant software effectively, drawing electrical installations, grounding, cross-section and voltage drop calculations,
- To be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics, to be able to plan and design, and to interpret bar graphs, critical path networks, assembly diagrams, circuit and schematic diagrams,
- To be able to use theoretical and practical knowledge about the electrical network and to solve simple technical problems that may occur in power plants, to access and use legal and technical legislation regarding electrical energy,
- Being able to operate command and control circuits with PLC devices,
- Being able to operate electric motor drive systems and power electronic circuits,
- To be able to express oneself effectively verbally and in writing using Turkish Language rules, and to have the ability to communicate effectively with the social and business environment,
- Being aware of professional and ethical responsibility and being able to work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams and take responsibility, and being able to implement and take initiative in quality management in businesses by complying with ethical values,
- In addition, to have the awareness of the necessity of lifelong learning and to have a foreign language knowledge at a level that can follow the innovations in the field.
