Iskenderun Technical University, Barbaros Hayrettin Naval Architecture and Maritime Faculty, Department of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering was established in 2015.
Our department; It aims to train qualified manpower needed by the sea sector in a wide range of vessels, marine structures and maritime technologies, and to be a department in the dynamic development process by organizing education infrastructure within the framework of international education standards and accreditation criteria.
The main working areas of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering;
- In the shipbuilding industry,
- In national and international private enterprises related to ship design,
- In ministry of transportation and infrastructure, Turkish Republic
- As an engineer in ports and coastal management areas and in the design of some offshore structures,
- As an academicians in national and international universities
