Within Iskenderun Technical University, the Zero Waste Management System is implemented in order to reduce all wastes generated as a result of education, training, research, production and service activities at the source, aiming to protect the environment, human health and natural resources, if it cannot be reduced, reuse and/or collect it separately according to its type at the source where it is generated, temporarily store the collected wastes safely, deliver them to licensed waste processing facilities, ensure final disposal of wastes that cannot be reused.
For this purpose, Zero Waste Coordination Board, Zero Waste Management Coordinatorship, Unit Waste Officer and Unit Waste Boards have been established in all academic and administrative units in our University.
