Dr. DURUEL was born in 1973 in Antakya and completed his primary and secondary education in Reyhanlı. In 1991, he enrolled in the Public Administration Department in the Faculty of Political Sciences at Istanbul University and graduated in 1995. He earned his master's degree in Social Policy in 1998 at Istanbul University and completed his Ph.D. in 2004 in the field of Labor Economics and Industrial Relations at the same institution.
Dr. DURUEL began his academic career in 1996 at Hatay Mustafa Kemal University, where he served as a Professor, Director of a Vocational School, Chair of the Migration Studies Department, and Advisor to the Rector. He has authored numerous articles and book chapters on social policy, migration, and employment policies. Additionally, he has participated as a researcher in various national and international projects.
Dr. DURUEL has also held administrative roles, such as being the District Exam Coordinator for ÖSYM (Student Selection and Placement Center) and undertaking an Official Mediator role at the Ministry of Labor and Social Security. Through his academic and practical work, he has made significant contributions to regional development and the field of social policy.
