Management Information Systems is an interdisciplinary department that examines people, technology, and organizations with a holistic perspective. We welcome students who are interested in technology and who like to spend time with technological products such as mobile phones, computers, and augmented reality glasses to our department. We would like to see students who want to increase their knowledge of information systems, artificial intelligence, the internet of things, databases, advanced information applications, and a career in our department. Individuals whose aim is to contribute to the future with technology, we want to see them as IT Experts (Technologists) who produce value within the framework of our country's innovation-oriented development model and in line with our university's TEKNOVERSITY vision. We strive to create a science environment that communicates and cooperates with all stakeholders and provides an integrated education with the industry for these purposes.
In line with the needs of the information age, we prepare an interdisciplinary curriculum that includes different fields such as information communication technologies, business, engineering, economics, and sociology for the future information experts and managers who will establish, develop, maintain and manage information systems in organizations.
Our curriculum has been created by taking the "quadruple helix model" (University-Industry-Public-Society) as a guide that prioritizes cooperation.
Students who aim to
- realize their dreams as entrepreneurs,
- be employed in the private or public sector,
- be a scientist.
We are working on designing a flexible way that can be guided individually for these students, with lessons and practices in which current topics are taught. Furthermore, we would like to remind you that, although there are many different departments in different universities in information technologies, Management Information Systems is a rare and promising department that focuses on both business processes and technology at the same time.
