The aim of the Logistics Management: program is to train qualified professionals who can meet the needs of the international logistics management of our region and our country, have sufficient knowledge, speak a good foreign language and meet the needs of human resources in the sector.
About the undergraduate department;
The "Logistics Management" department was opened in 2020 and started its education and training life with young and dynamic academicians with international experience, who are experts in their fields, including 3 assist. prof. dr. Currently, it continues with 2 associate professors, 1 assist. prof. dr. and 1 research assistant.
Students enrolled in our department will receive one year of optional English preparation as a foreign language, which has a very important place in terms of both the industry and globalization. In this way, it is aimed to train qualified English-speaking personnel at the end of education and training, which is what the sector needs. In our department, courses are given in Turkish, and in addition to compulsory courses in Logistics Management, elective courses on Business, Economics and Logistics will be given. Business world integration is provided with relevant companies so that our students can adapt to the sector and gain experience.
Within the scope of our university's internationalization activities, foreign students from different countries of the world will also be able to study in our department. In addition, our students will have the opportunity to study abroad through national and international exchange programs (Erasmus, Farabi, Mevlana) within the framework of international bilateral agreements.

Logistical Importance of Iskenderun
Iskenderun, which has one of the largest ports in Turkey, has an important position in maritime trade. In general, the geographical location of the region makes it possible to use all modes of transportation, including railway, sea, air and road, and the fact that the region has three border gates (Yayladağı, Cilvegözü, Zeytindalı) are among the strong features of the region.
Having direct access to the national railway network is another strong feature identified in the logistics sector. Iskenderun Port; It functions as the import and export gate of the Mediterranean, Central Anatolia, Eastern Anatolia and Southeastern Anatolia Regions. It has become an important and advantageous port for exporters of a wide region from Mersin to Şırnak, from Malatya to Kilis. It is also of great importance for the transit trade of the Middle East. It is noteworthy that a direct railway connection to the Iskenderun port region is of critical importance for the logistics of the region. In this context, the region's suitability for multi-modal transportation is among the strengths of the region.
The program also aims to train professionals who can follow national and international research, new trends and discussions in the field of logistics management, have ability to use the knowledge gained in the field to explain the problems in the related fields, to interpret and to offer solutions to these problems, can take responsibility through individual and team work, have attentive, creative and critical thinking skills, are open to innovative thoughts and conscious about values, can see and discuss the problems of the age, can produce solutions within the framework of these problems, can convey his / her thoughts verbally and in writing with a correct, clear and understandable expression, have conscious of protecting and improving human rights.
