METALLURGY PROGRAM
AIM AND PROMOTION OF THE PROGRAM:
- Interpret and evaluate the data related to the field,
- May perform various metal casting processes,
- Interpret the physical properties of metals and alloys,
- Can work in metal and material production stages,
- It is aimed to educate the professionals who can establish healthy communication with people.
Metallurgy is an Associate of Science degree Program. The duration of the training is 2 years and spread to 4 semesters. This program acceptance and enrollment requirements are within the scope of higher education legislation. Students who are successful in the Progressive Higher Education Entrance Examination, basic competency test (BCT) are placed. Placement is made by OSYM. Each student is obliged to intern undertake at least 30 working days. At the end of the training period consisting of 2 years and 4 semesters, the student has to be successful in total 120 ECTS.
EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR GRADUATES:
- In the casting atelier and laboratories of the factories,
- In quality control facilities,
-In the weld industry,
- In heat treating applications,
- In facilities producing iron-steel, plastic and composite materials,
- In sea port operations,
- They have the opportunity to work in companies producing projects and contracting in the field of metallurgy.
TRANSITION TO UPGRADE PROGRAMS:
Those who have completed this program for two years, according to the results of the vertical transfer examination conducted by ÖSYM,
