MISSION
Our country needs a significant number of human resources with high technical knowledge, hand skills and design skills in order to compete with automotive manufacturers and automotive supplier industry manufacturers abroad. It is anticipated that our country will become one of the high value-added production areas by strengthening the infrastructure of the program by cooperating with companies that have knowledge in the field of hybrid and electric vehicle technologies, whose foundations have started to be laid in our country, or that aim to work in this field. İskenderun is a large and developed industrial zone and has a significant amount of production capacity and knowledge in many different business lines. Iskenderun Vocational School Of Higher Education Hybrid and Electric Vehicles Technology program within Iskenderun Technical University will provide the qualified and competitive human resource that our country needs by combining this knowledge and production ability with an academic perspective.
VISION
Cooperation with companies will enable the sub-industry to manufacture automotive in the field of hybrid and electric vehicles technology and produce goods for this sector. As İskenderun Technical University, by providing academic support to enterprises that want to work in this field, a structure will be created in which our country can have a say in the field of production with high output in this competition.
Hybrid and Electric Vehicles Technology Program Educational Objectives
• Taking necessary occupational safety measures in the work environment,
• To have basic theoretical and practical knowledge,
• Using basic knowledge and skills in the field, interpreting and evaluating data, identifying problems, analyzing and developing evidence-based solution suggestions,
• Designing electrical-electronic circuits, drawing electrical installation plans, grounding, cross-section and voltage drop calculations by using relevant software effectively,
• Being able to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics, and make planning and design,
• To be able to interpret graphs, critical path networks, assembly diagrams, circuit and schematic diagrams,
• Being able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing in Turkish,
• In addition, being aware of professional and ethical responsibility and being able to take responsibility by working effectively in multi-disciplinary teams.
