GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT DEPARTMENT / PROGRAM: Textile, Clothing, Footwear and Leather Department, Clothing Production Technology Program

AWARDED DEGREE:Students who have successfully completed all of the courses (for a total of 120 ECTS) in the program and have achieved a weighted average of at least 2.25 out of 4.00 and completed the vocational internship, are awarded a pre-degree diploma in the field of Clothing Production Technology. This diploma grade corresponds to the fifth level of education within the scope of the European Qualifications Framework.
LEVEL OF DEGREE: Associate degree
WORKING METHOD: Full time
REGISTRATION AND ACCEPTANCE REQUIREMENTS: This program acceptance and enrollment requirements are within the scope of Turkish higher education legislation. Students who are successful in the Progressive Higher Education Entrance Examination, First Examination (TYT) are placed. Placement is made by OSYM.
GRADUATION CONDITIONS: Students who have completed associate degree education must have a GPA of at least 2.25 in order to graduate. Graduation average grade is calculated over 4.00; all the courses taken are calculated while this average is calculated. Students also have 30 days internship in summer.
Professional Training in Business (İME)
Students can spend their 4th semester on business full-time to do practical work. Throughout the IME program, students have the opportunity to transform the theoretical knowledge they have learned into practice and have the opportunity to find a job in the institution they are in without graduating.
PROGRAM PROFILE: The aim of Clothing Production Technology Program; Textile and Ready-to-Wear Sector with a level of general textiles and ready-to-wear information that will serve the intermediate level of qualified staff to train.
EXAMS, ASSESSMENT AND EVALUATION: A course grade is determined using the Relative Assessment Method. In order to determine a student's achievement grade in a course according to this method, the raw grade is calculated taking into consideration the contributions of the midterm and other education- the system is adapted to the letter system or the 4-point system, taking into consideration raw notes, general success level of the class, distribution of grades, class average and standard deviation
EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR GRADUATES: Students who have completed the Apparel Production Technology program can work as technicians in various departments of companies such as model mold, sewing machine, quality control, management, planning, marketing, design, arge-urge in public apparel-apparel sector, - they can open a workshop. Those who have completed vocational training in the field of clothing production technology do not have to limit their future plans to our country. Those who know self-renewal, who are qualified in foreign language, can find jobs related to their branch abroad and have the opportunity to work in high standards.
TRANSITION TO UPGRADE PROGRAMS: Those who have completed this program for two years, according to the results of the vertical transfer examination conducted by ÖSYM,

DEPARTMENT OPPORTUNITIES:
The Workshop on Clothing Production Technology Program of the Department of Applied Courses; There are 16 straight stitches, 9 computerized straight stitches, 2 3-thread overlock stitching machines, 1 5-thread overlock stitching machine, 1 resin stitching machine, 2 industrial ironing machines (steam boiler), illuminated drawing table.

Recognizing the structure of garment-apparel operation

- Evaluate the workflow by following the problem, solve the problem and take the necessary precautions

NOTE : In the 4th semester, students are offered 2 options;
a) Those who meet the requirements complete the 4th semester by taking the Vocational Education course in Business Administration. Those who take the Vocational Training Course in Business will not take the Internship course.
b) Students who cannot meet the requirement to take the "Vocational Education in Business" course or prefer to complete the 4th semester by choosing to complete 30 ECTS from the elective courses in the 4th semester, including the Internship.
