Program Purpose and Introduction
The duration of education within the Computer Programming associate degree program is 2 years and consists of 4 semesters.
Each student is obliged to do internship work for at least 30 working days. At the end of the education period of 2 years and 4 semesters, the student has to be successful in a total of 120 ACTS courses.
The intensive use of computer and internet technology in all areas of our lives causes new demands to be created constantly and the need for labor to meet these demands. Our program trains technical intermediate staff with titles such as Computer Programmer, Software Specialist, Software Developer, Computer Technician, Information Processing Specialist to meet these demands. Our department is a numerically focused department. Being able to develop software requires understanding the solution requested from you correctly, analyzing it well, identifying the needs correctly and coding all this work in the desired programming language.
Registration acceptance requirement
It is to get the required score from the university exam conducted by OSYM.
Job opportunities
Our graduates from this program can work in software, consultancy or computer companies, as well as in different positions in the IT departments of many institutions, from education to health, from entertainment to finance. Our graduates can also start their own businesses in many fields such as software, e-commerce and mobile applications.

Graduation Requirements

Students who take 120 ACTS credits in total, successfully complete all of them, achieve a grade point average of at least 2.25 out of 4.00, and successfully complete 30 working days of summer internship are eligible to receive an associate degree.

In calculating the success grade, 40% of the work during the semester and 60% of the final exam are taken. However, if the final exam grade is below 30, the grade is given as FF. Students who get one of the grades (AA), (BA), (BB), (CB), (CC), (G), and (B) in a course are considered successful in that course. (G), (K), (M) and (B) letter grades are not taken into account in the average calculation. In order to benefit from the examination rights of a course, students must fulfill the following conditions defined in the relevant article of our University's Associate Degree and Undergraduate Education and Examination Regulations; a) To be registered for that course, b) To attend 70% of the theoretical courses, c) To attend 80% of the applications in the applied courses, d) To be successful in the applications and to have completed the given projects. Other issues related to teaching and examination are reported in the Regulation on Teaching and Examination of Iskenderun Technical University. In Iskenderun Technical University Undergraduate Programs, the grade conversion from the 100 grading system to the letter grading system is made based on the table below.
