Department of Marine Transportation Engineering
Department of Marine Transportation Engineering started education in 2017. Students are placing with a central placement system and they are subjected to physical competence and an interview test. The education and training in the department is carried out in accordance with maritime customs and students are obliged to wear uniforms.
The Department of Marine Transportation Engineering aims to train students with the skills of maritime customs and critical and analytical thinking, self-discipline, self-confidence, teamwork, management and leadership in order to work in national and international fleet.
Academic education consists of 8 semesters except English Preparatory class. The students specialize in navigation, seamanship, cargo operations and ship management, following basic engineering courses such as mathematics and physics. Upon successful completion of the program, students are awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Transportation Engineering.
