The Department of Maritime Business Administration, established within the Barbaros Hayrettin Naval Architecture and Maritime Faculty, aims to graduate qualified, and innovation-oriented persons to employ in the land organizations of maritime transport sector in line with the interest of our country. With the education given in Maritime Business Administration Department, which adopts university-industry-public-society cooperation as a guide, it is also aimed to upskill the students with the ability to identify, research and solve sector-related problems with effective knowledge within the framework of code of conducts, ethical values, by depending on maritime customs.
The department of Maritime Business Administration involves both national and international activities related to business administration and management of the resources and transportation in the sea and inland water. In addition to practice-based education performed in cooperation with the several maritime organizations, the course contents encompass several fields such as business, economy, statistics, public and private law, logistics, marine tourism, insurance and risk management, communication, supply chain management, maritime business and transportation.
Persons graduated from department of Maritime Business Administration may employ in several position in ship agencies, ship chandlers, ports and terminals, ship management, brokering and freight forwarding companies, yatch and marina businesses, foreign trade and logistics businesses, shipyards, Republic of Turkey Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure and the affiliated institutions in other ministries.
