Our country, which is surrounded by seas on three sides, is on its way to becoming an international logistics center with its geographical location that connects Asia and Europe, its proximity to developing economies, its knowledge, gradually developing transport infrastructure and fleet, growing economy and increasing foreign trade volume.
"Turkey's Strategic Vision 2023" in the projections, achieving the 500 billion dollars in exports, aims to enter one of the world's top 10 economies in terms of GDP. Strategic locomotive sectors in this projection; It is counted as Automotive, Logistics, Transportation. Achieving production and export targets in all sectors will be possible by planning and managing the logistics infrastructure in an accurate, efficient and innovative way. Planning and studies are carried out in order to achieve the desired goals in these areas. An important part of these plans and infrastructure is trained manpower.
Turkey is one of the 100 projects listed in the framework of Vision 2023 that Great Tunnel Project, which include, Amanus industrial zone of the Iskenderun Port connects Hassan Tunnel in East Project, increasing the effective modernization capacity with the privatization of Iskenderun Port of Iskenderun in the Gulf investments in other ports and industrial and energy facilities increase the importance of Iskenderun for our country. As a result of these investments, the need for qualified manpower will increase in the near future.
Established in 1996, the Maritime Vocational School, with its strong infrastructure, provides qualified associate degree training in Maritime Port Management, Logistics and Underwater Technology programs. Unlike other similar Higher Education Institutions, our school has an Integration with the Business World (IDE) Program. In this program, successful and willing students work in the relevant sectors during the last semester to integrate with the business world and increase their job opportunities.
Our goal is to provide the students who prefer us with an education equipped in terms of knowledge and experience, and primarily to meet the qualified manpower needs of our rapidly developing region.

It is a division established in order to train qualified manpower to work as a staff or manager in the field or office in the customs procedures of the cargoes entering and leaving the ports, transportation, protection, routing, management in sea and port enterprises.

LOGISTICS PROGRAM
Companies operating in international and national markets have high communication skills with business culture and necessary technical knowledge by working with managers in different fields of production, sales, purchasing, storage, packaging, customs clearance, material management, packaging, inventory control, order management, customer relations and transportation. It is a program opened for training as an expert.
MOTOR VEHICLES AND TRANSPORTATION TECHNOLOGIES DEPARTMENT
UNDERWATER TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM
This program is available in 5 Higher Education Institutions in our country. The strongest infrastructure among the Vocational Schools is in ISTE Maritime Vocational School. Scuba Diving Training is given only in the tower in our Vocational School in Turkey. Swimming and basic diving trainings are given in the Governor Zeki Şanal Indoor Swimming Pool, which is adjacent to my school, in cooperation with the Hatay Youth Services and Sports Provincial Directorate. Maritime and Advanced Diving Trainings are carried out in the last semester by staying at sea for 1 week (24/7 based) with the 27.5 m long RV ISTE I Research Ship owned by our university. Pressure Room Operator Trainings are also given in the Pressure Room, which is located in only two schools. Some of the diving trainings are carried out by the ISTE II Research and Application Boat owned by our university.
