HANDOVER CEREMONY AT ISTE
A rector handover ceremony took place at Iskenderun Technical University (ISTE) following the rectorial appointment published in the Official Gazette on December 21, 2024, Issue No. 32759.
In accordance with the decision approved by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Duruel was appointed as the new rector of ISTE. During the official ceremony, Prof. Dr. Duruel formally took over the rectorship from Prof. Dr. Tolga Depci.
Upon his arrival at the ISTE Rectorate Building, Prof. Dr. Duruel was greeted with flowers by General Secretary Yahya Kılıç and administrative staff. He then proceeded to the Rector’s Office, where the handover of duties was completed.
In his farewell address, Prof. Dr. Depci conveyed his sincere wishes for Prof. Dr. Duruel's success in fulfilling the responsibilities of the rectorship.
ISTE’s new rector, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Duruel, addressed the audience, stating, “From this moment forward, we will strive together to make significant contributions to our university and our city with unwavering dedication.”
