The social responsibility project initiated in April, in collaboration with Iskenderun Technical University (ISTE), Dörtyol State Hospital, and Dörtyol Kara Hasan Paşa Middle School, has been successfully completed. The "Happy Children" social responsibility project, which was signed with the approval of ISTE Rector Prof. Dr. Tolga Depci in March, was implemented at Dörtyol State Hospital in April. With the completion of the drawing and painting activities, the final stage of the project moved on to activities conducted by students from ISTE Dörtyol Vocational School of Health Services, coordinated by Lecturer Burcu Güngör Önlen. These activities took place at the Children's Diseases Polyclinics and Pediatric Services of Dörtyol State Hospital, performed by students from the Medical Secretary and Documentation department. The events, which received significant interest, were attended by ISTE Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Meltem Eken, ISTE Dörtyol Vocational School Director Bahattin Gözübenli, District Director of National Education Mehmet Toksoy, teachers, students, and parents.
In the final stage of the project, which featured colorful moments, activities such as face painting for children coming to the pediatric polyclinics for examination, storytelling for children staying in the pediatric ward, and balloon inflation and shaping for both groups of children were organized. As a result of these activities, students from Dörtyol Vocational School of Health Services experienced the joy of engaging in social responsibility activities, while all the children participating at Dörtyol State Hospital had fun and took steps towards overcoming their hospital phobia.
Commenting on the "Happy Children" project, which has reached its conclusion under the social responsibility initiative for our children who are the guarantors of our future, ISTE Rector Prof. Dr. Tolga Depci congratulated everyone who contributed to the project. He stated, "We are happy to successfully conclude the project, which we previously completed the first stage of, to help our children look at life with brighter and happier thoughts. I would also like to express our pride in participating in such a meaningful project with our stakeholders. We look forward to collaborating on many more projects with Dörtyol State Hospital and Dörtyol Kara Hasan Paşa Middle School. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this project, which is extremely important for the development of our children."
