Iskenderun Technical University (ISTE) held a cooperation and consultation meeting with teachers working in high schools affiliated with the Hatay Provincial Directorate of National Education. Under the instruction of ISTE Rector Prof. Dr. Tolga Depci, an introduction of ISTE was presented to the teachers working under the National Education Directorate, one of ISTE's regional stakeholders, on Wednesday, May 22. The meeting, aimed at discussion, introduction, consultation, and cooperation, was attended by ISTE Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Suha Orçun Mert, ISTE Secretary General Yahya Kılıç, ISTE academic and administrative staff, and teachers.
The program, which began with a moment of silence and the National Anthem, featured a speech by ISTE Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Suha Orçun Mert. He said, "Thank you all for accepting our invitation and coming here. Today, we will provide you with information about our university, our departments, and our social facilities. Our Deans and Department Heads are also kindly present here. We are always ready to assist students who wish to see our university, together with our Rector, Secretary General, and our professors."
ISTE Student Affairs Director Oğuz Şerifoğlu provided a brief introduction to the university since its establishment, explaining the existing programs at the associate, undergraduate, and postgraduate levels, student statistics, Erasmus opportunities, and the status of the academic staff. Following this, Şerifoğlu presented the ISTE Prospective Student page to the teachers, stating, "We want to stay in contact with you and always invite you to our university. We look forward to seeing you at our university," concluding his presentation.
After the Q&A session, participants moved to the foyer area to allow teachers to directly communicate with the department heads.
ISTE Rector Prof. Dr. Tolga Depci thanked all the teachers for taking the time to come to ISTE, saying, "I believe that all individuals and institutions always need common sense, cooperation, and solidarity to develop and improve. While we work with all our strength to reach our best version, it is very important to stay in communication with our stakeholders. I am pleased that our Provincial Directorate of National Education shares the same value and that we can host our teachers at ISTE. I want to emphasize once again that our doors are always open to everyone."
