Iskenderun Technical University (ISTE) Faculty of Aerospace Sciences organized an Online Aviation Summit. The two-day program, which began on April 17th and ended on April 18th in the Orange Hall of the Tourism Faculty, discussed important topics related to the aviation industry. Dr. Habibe Gürsoy Demir, Associate Professor and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Aerospace Sciences, thanked everyone for their participation in the summit, expressing their happiness at the significant interest in an online event.
The first day of the conference, held at the Orange Hall of the ISTE Central Campus, featured speakers such as Burcu Ertan, Field Service Representative of BOEING, Bertan Uysal, Systems Engineer of BOEING, and Kadir Gökhan Güler, Senior Engineering Manager of GE Aerospace. The second day of the ongoing summit featured speakers including Faruk Oğuz, Chief Engineer of Turkish Aerospace MRB, İzzet Sancaklı, Turkish Technology Project Manager, Hazal Berfin Oylumlu, Design Engineer of GE Aerospace, Burhan Çetinkaya, Structural Design Engineer of AİRBUS, Fatma Selen Pehlivan, System Design Integrator of Rolls Royce, and Zehra Beril Sarıata, Process & Methods Engineer of Pratt & Whitney. Aviation representatives shared their professional experiences and answered questions from students.
Expressing gratitude to everyone involved in the first-ever Online Aviation Summit at ISTE, Rector Prof. Dr. Tolga Depci stated, "This summit, where our students meet industry representatives, is not only for sharing knowledge but also an opportunity to contribute to shaping the future of the aviation sector. We are working to have a say in this evolving and transforming industry every day. We are laying the foundations of our hope to see every graduate of ours in the best places through such programs, which will inspire our students and guide them towards their future.
