Have a happy Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr ahead! ISTE Rectorate
Iskenderun Technical University (ISTE) Rector Prof. Dr. Tolga Depci has issued a message on the occasion of Ramadan Eid.
Professor Dr. Tolga Depci, the Rector of ISTE (Iskenderun Technical University), has issued a message on the occasion of Ramadan Eid. Expressing the joy of reaching another holiday, Rector Depci emphasized that 'holidays represent one of the most beautiful traditions of solidarity, compassion, and sharing in our culture.' Continuing his message, he reflected, 'As we bid farewell to the Sultan of eleven months, Ramadan, which embodies numerous virtues including love, respect, tolerance, and solidarity, we rejoice in the arrival of Ramadan Eid. Continuing his message, he stated:
"Holidays, esteemed days where feelings of friendship, camaraderie, and brotherhood blossom and strengthen, provide both an opportunity to reinforce our connections with the past and a chance to pass down our customs, traditions, and heritage to future generations. I hope this esteemed occasion serves as a moment where we can all come together and make the most of this opportunity.
Like last year and every future Eid, our minds and hearts are naturally with the lives we lost in the earthquakes of February 6th. While fully supporting the efforts of our state to normalize Hatay and the region, we will always strive to keep their memories alive. This Eid, a time of renewed hope, coincides with the season of spring, a time of rebirth. Just as the blossoming trees, our Hatay and our region will also return to their old beautiful days and even more.
I hope that Ramadan Eid marks the beginning of beautiful days for the entire Muslim world. I pray to God that peace and tranquillity prevail in Palestine, especially in Gaza; that children, women, and all people attain their freedom and reunite with their loved ones.
With these feelings and thoughts, I extend warm greetings to the ISTE Family, our country, nation, and the entire Islamic world on the Blessed Ramadan Eid. I wish peace, health, and tranquillity to the whole world."
