ANOTHER 1001 PROJECT AT ISTE
The project, led by Iskenderun Technical University (ISTE) Mechanical Engineering Department faculty member Assistant Professor Mehmet Demir, was entitled to be supported by the TUBITAK 1001-Scientific and Technological Research Projects Funding Program.
The project, led by Mehmet Demir, an Assistant Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Iskenderun Technical University (ISTE), was entitled to be supported by the TUBITAK 1001-Scientific and Technological Research Projects Funding Program. Assistant Professor Member Demir stated that the number of the TUBITAK Projects carried out at ISTE continues to increase thanks to the "Systematic Deposition of Medium/High Entropy Alloy Coatings by Electrostorage Method" project. Within the scope of the accepted 1001 Project, Assistant Professor Member Demir will be accompanied by researchers from Hatay Mustafa Kemal University and Yıldız Technical University. In this project, high-entropy alloys that have the unique advantages of atomic-scale synergy between multiple components can be appropriately deposited to meet activity and stability requirements through electrodeposition. The electrodeposition method aims to produce NiFeCoCu medium entropy alloys with strong corrosion and mechanical properties and NiFeCoCuX high entropy alloys with the addition of refractory metal.
President of ISTE Professor Dr. Tolga Depci - who stated that he was already proud and happy about the news of the acceptance of a new 1001 project they received during the period - said, "First of all, I would like to thank TUBITAK, which, like all institutions of our state, contributed to the recovery of our city and region after the devastating February 6 earthquakes, and the president of TUBITAK Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal on behalf of myself, my institution, and Hatay. Acting with an awareness of how valuable it is to continue our way by producing, the ISTE Family has added a new success to the existing one. I am honored to be with our staff and students who work and produce for this cause. I wish success to Assistant Professor Mehmet Demir whose project was supported and the stakeholders he will work with in the project."
