Use and Future of Artificial Intelligence Discussed at ISTE
The second international conference on artificial intelligence towards industry 4.0 was held in the Engineering and Sciences Conference Hall at Iskenderun Technical University.
The Technical University of Iskenderun hosted the second international conference on artificial intelligence towards industry 4.0, during which many studies on AI and Industry 4.0 by academics from international universities and attendees from business world have been presented. Among the speakers were Professor Darius Andriukaitis from Kaunas University of Technology, Kubilay Gurbuz the Director of LimakPort Informatics and Technical Department and Ahmet Kemal Tozkar the Production Specialist at Vestel, who shared their experience and insight on AI and Industry 4.0. Seventy-two scientific studies have been shown in the conference with a total of 142 attendees from Turkey, Russia, Algeria, Ethiopia, Egypt, Syria, Macedonia, the UAE, the USA and England.
During his opening speech, Professor Selcuk Mistikoglu, Vice President of Iskenderun Technical University, welcomed the attendees and highlighted the increasingly significant role of AI on all scientific branches, as well as the daily routines; further saying that all studies made or to be made in this regard are very valuable.
Kubilay Gurbuz, Director of LimakPort Informatics and Technical Department, informed the audience on developing technologies aimed at speeding up the processes and preventing failures of international commerce during his speech themed “Use of Industry 4.0 on Port Logistics.”
Professor Darius Andriukaitis from Kaunas University of Technology from Lithuania gave a presentation centered on “Finding a Solution for the Intense Traffic in Metropolitan Cities” and drew attention to the current application models of censors and other AI techniques.
Ahmet Kemal Tozkar, Production Specialist at Vestel, talked about the important aspects of mainboard manufacture for Industry 4.0 with his speech titled “Lean Manufacturing on TV Mainboard Assembly Lines” and stressed the importance of AI by introducing the updated manufacturing lines within Industry 4.0 at Vestel.
