Course exemption is the acceptance of the equivalence of the previously taken and successful course(s) to the course(s) in the curriculum of the programme in which the student is registered at our University according to ECTS and content compatibility.
Students who have been registered to our University by undergraduate transfer will be able to make their exemption and adjustment applications online within five (5) working days at the latest following the registration date by selecting the title of Adjustment Application from the Student Information System (OBS) at https://obs.iste.edu.tr/oibs/ogrenci/login.aspx .
Since exemption applications are allowed only once during the specified application dates, students who do not apply for exemption within this timeframe will lose their exemption rights.

Our department will process the course exemptions sent from the relevant academic units to the student automation. Students will be able to see the grades of the exempted courses on the Curriculum Status screen of the student automation.
Students who are exempted from the course(s) will not register for the course(s) they are exempted from. The letter grade of the exempted course(s) will be added to the GPA.
Students whose course exemptions are processed in the student information system before the course registration dates will be able to select the courses they need to take according to their curriculum status on the course registration dates and send them to the advisor for approval.
Students whose course exemptions will be processed to the student information system after the course registration dates will select the courses to be taken according to their curriculum status on the course registration dates and send them to the advisor for approval.
